Cool ! when I’m cleaning my bedroom that look like a cracky-ship,I found some old things that before I thought it has lost !! one of them was special !! did you know what I mean ? hmm I’ll tell it. It was a diary book, very beautiful diary ! My old best friend has given it 4 years ago. Waw,it’s a long time to know this book still fine before :D
Okay, now, what is my problem with that diary ? yeah when I read and open that diary,I’ve just remembered if that book still EMPTY with words -_- how lazy I am .ckck
I’m very confused,I dunno what I must write on my diary. Next day in school,I tell about it to my friend, she said if why I didn’t write about my experiences during 4 years after I’ve lost that diary . afterthat I got many ideas from her said. Buuuuuuuuuuuuut AGAIN,at my home,I’m still confused about how I write my experiences on my beloved diary. Then I ask about that with.....a shaman ? hell yeah,it’s impossible -_- okay exactly I ask to Mr. Google :D
I write a key word = ‘how to write an experience’ then..eureka ! there’s a word that will bring me to heaven.oh NO ! not die, please.but Recount text ! That’s the answer of my confusion
here are the explanation about recount text !
A kind of text to tell the reader a past event or experience in chronological order is called ‘Recount Text’. That’s why,it uses simple past tense.
The generic structure of recount text :
• Orientation : tells the reader who was involved in the story, what happened, where the story took place, and when it happened.
• Events : Tell the sequence of events
• Re-orientation : summarises the event. It may be contains some personal comments.
There are three types of recount text :
- Imaginative recount : is an unreal event or story, like reading texts for language lesson,a story about a life of a slave, etc.
- Factual recount : is a note of an event,such as scientific experiment report,police report,newspaper report,history explanation,etc.
- Personal Recount : exposes an event in which the writer or the author got involved or acted in the event himself. Belong to this type among others are daily funny incidents, entries of a diary, etc.
Example of recount text :
What is the relation between recount text and narrative text ?
Something which happened in the past is the main resource to compose both recount and narrative text. In writer’s point of view, the things is an experience. It can be what the writer has done, hear, read, and felt. Composing recount and narrative is retelling the experiences of the past event to be a present event.
What does recount differ from narrative ?
The easiest way to catch the difference is analyzing the generic structure. Recount text presents the past experiences in order of time or place;what happened on Sunday, then on Monday. In simple way, recount describes series of events in detail. It doesn’t expose the struggle on how to make them happen. The event happened smoothly. On the other hand, narrative introduces crises and how to solve them. Narrative text always appear as a hard potrait of participant’s past experience. It reveals the conflict among the participants. Cinderella’s conflicts with her step mother and sister are the example. The conflict is the most important element in a narrative text. Narrative without conflicts isn’t narrative any more.

My Day at the Beach
Last week my friend and I were bored after three weeks of holidays, so we rode our bikes to Smith Beach, which is only five kilometres from where I live. When we arrived at the beach, we were surprised to see there was hardly anyone there.
After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold, we realized one reason there were not many people there. It was also quite windy. After we bought some hot chips at the takeaway store nearby, we rode our bikes down the beach for a while, on the hard, damp part of the sand. We had the wind behind us and, before we knew it, we were many miles down the beach.
Before we made the long trip back, we decided to paddle our feet in the water for a while, and then sit down for a rest. While we were sitting on the beach, just chatting, it suddenly dawned on us that all the way back, we would be riding into the strong wind.
When we finally made it back home, we were both totally exhausted! But we learned some good lessons that day.
OOOOOOH ‘in fact just like this.. JUST I’ve said eh written ?! on few minutes ago I’ve very desperated. And now after read that,I’ve understood .It’s very easy, isn’t it ? So,I can make it by myself now. And how about you ? let we make it too ! Happy writing
